Important Care Instructions for Cast Iron Products
Before first use: Wash the product with warm water and a mild detergent. Dry thoroughly and apply a thin layer of vegetable oil. Heat on medium for 10–15 minutes and allow to cool.
Cleaning: Clean cast iron products by hand only, using warm water and a brush or sponge. Do not clean in the dishwasher! Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents. Do not place cast iron products in the sink together with cutlery, knives or other hard objects — contact with metal can cause chips and scratches on the enamel or cast iron surface.
Drying and storage: Dry the product immediately and completely after each wash. Store in a dry place. Do not leave water standing in the product — this leads to rust and surface damage.
Avoid thermal shock: Do not pour cold water into a hot cast iron product and do not place a cold product directly on a very hot burner. Sudden temperature changes can cause cracks in cast iron.
Please note: Cast iron is a natural material. Minor surface irregularities or colour variations are inherent to the material and do not constitute a defect.
Important: Damage caused by improper use (e.g. cleaning in a dishwasher, soaking in water, contact with cutlery or hard objects, thermal shock, dropping) is not covered by the warranty.
