The novel is well-known Khanty writer Eremey Aipin dedicated to the events of 1933-1934 years - the rebellion of the indigenous peoples of the Ob North, not wishing to submit to the Soviet regime. In the center of the plot - the fate of the Ostyak women, whose family was ruined by the war. Her story, grows into a poignant story about the tragedy of the individual, family, nation and, ultimately, Russia lost its foundations in 1917.
